1. How does communication design work within the constraints of print and media?

- First, who the design is for must be considered. Some people don't like bright and flashy visuals. Then, how are people going to see it. Newspapers and magazines can reach a lot of people.

2. How does the creative process relate to strategic problem solving?

- It helps solve the problems in different ways. 3. How is the creative process related to the design process?

- It lets you ask different questions to create reasons for why a design its the way it is. 4. What are the critical phases of the design process?

- Defining the problem. researching trends, developing concepts that would interest the target audience, and implementing the solutions to see if they work.

5. How does project research help to define a communication problem?

- Research is the most important because you need to know whats trending and what your competitors are doing. 6. What are some examples of brainstorming techniques that generate multiple concepts based on a common message?

- Concept mapping can generate multiple concepts. It works by taking different elements that could be used and arranging them in different ways. 7. How does using a metaphoric device generate concepts?

- Instead of approaching the topic head on, using an easy to understand metaphor would be better and might resonate with more people. 8. How do concepts translate into messages within a visual form?

- Concepts can use colors, pictures, and text to relay a message.
